From On the River
|
This was found along the Grand River during the river clean-up that took place on September 19, 2009. While cleaning in front of the Gerald R. Ford Museum, I found this bible wedged between two rocks. It looks as though it was one time completely submerged in water, and as time went on, dried out to create an interesting form. The idea of a Bible being in the river raised a curious dialogue between myself and the other person I was cleaning with. We wondered how it came to be in the river. Did someone become mad at God and decide to throw their Bible out the window, while driving over the bridge?
