From On the River
Two guys were walking on the bridge at my pace and as I eat a chocolate bar they tell me chocolate actually cleans your teeth. Ron insisted he'd researched and this is true. As I explain what the PODS are doing there, he says he's caught a fish bigger than his baby daughter on this river. He points over to the small patch of trees and shrubs on the right side of the Interurban, facing the Musuem and says, "And those trees, I saved those trees. I used to work for the city and they wanted them gone to make way for more lawn. I told them no, and said I'd upkeep them myself. I love trees." So when you look at the bridge and think about how nice it is that a patch a nature was left "as is", you can thank Ron.
