From On the River

Throughout my Derive along the river bank, I was unexpectedly overwhelmed and drawn to the abundance of 'nooks and crannys', particularly in the form of circles. There were so many pipe endings; protruding out the walls, ground, ceilings, etc. posing small spaces just screaming to be filled.

For my outside-in project I did just that. I had recalled seeing a duck or two floating along, and decided to make a very subtle/small paper bird. I camouflaged it in browns, and dropped it to float inside a pipe sticking out of the ground (but filled mostly with water). It's extremely inconspicuous but that's what I was going for. Coincidentally, a week later I went on to learn about the annual 'duck race' they used to have on The Grand.
