The River Findings assignment is about fully appreciating the odd assortment of objects that can be discovered on the banks of The Grand. The original findings were found during the annual Grand Rapids River clean up - but our archive will be in continuous growth as more river findings are documented. The instructions are simple, take a walk along the edge of the river, pick out an assortment of unnatural objects to find in that environment, and document them.

How to make a page for a River Findings:

Make a separate page for each History Bit. Click the link above. It will ask you to name the page you want to create. Type in a very brief description of the objects you found in or near the river (it's only one object per page.) Ex. “Sand-Filled Inner Tube”. After typing in a name, it will bring you to an edit content page where you can upload a main photo for your experience, type a description of the object and location, and upload more images. To mark a map location, type in "Grand Rapids" and search for your area. Changing the view to 'satellite' also helps to see landmarks that the other map does not show.
